2012: the year we will have sold our soul

As the dreary march towards the beacon of sporting legacy that is the London 2012 Olympics trudges forever closer, and contractors and consultants get inexorably richer at the expense of the taxpayer, here is a masterful piece of writing by London's greatest modern chronicler Iain Sinclair in the latest London Review of Books. Also, as a reluctant allotmenteer, I am keeping a close eye on the valiant struggle by the Manor Garden Allotments Society as they stand up for their 100 year old patch. Also of interest is Games Monitor: debunking Olympics myths. Photo from ninebelow, on Flickr group London 2012.
